Situated on pacific avenue just opposite the Wyndham hotel suites tower ( in between the two trump casinos), this is a favourite with als and I was commended to eat here by at least three different people during my last trip to Atlantic city.
The place is a typical sports bar, with good, friendly service and a classic menu on offer consisting of burgers, pizzas, wings, seafood, steaks and salads amongst others. Some good beers on tap and a pretty nice selection of wine are on offer too.
When I visited I was with some great friends and having failed to find any casinos offering a steak at the time of day we were around (4pm), we were grateful to find the Atlantic city bar and grill.
First up, the service was notable, friendly, fast, but not overbearing, we were given a basket of lovely fresh bad, including garlic bread to munch on whilst we waited for our main courses to arrive.
Best of our choices, by far, was the new York strip steak which was cooked to perfection, pink in the middle, served with a nice fresh house salad and a tasty baked potato.
We also ordered a chicken salad, which was fine, if unmark able. The burger was the only disappointment out of our meal, having asked for it to be rare, it came well-done and very dry. Only upon looking at the menu did we discover that they only cook burgers 'medium' at best, which seems to be very common in this part of jersey unfortunately.
Still, even despite the burger, we all really enjoyed our time at the Atlantic bar and grill, plenty of locals were tucking into wings and beers, cocktails and seafood and really enjoying themselves.
Would I go again? Yes I sure would, and i would probably go for the steak (which was delicious) or for the seafood (which looked delicious) or for the wings (which smelled delicious)
