Buying liquor in Atlantic City is very easy
For a start, all of the casinos have stores that sell booze and the prices are not as bad as you might imagine. You can also get drinks on the casino floor. In some casinos, you only have to sit and play a few cents on a penny slot to be offered a free drink (as free as a tip costs, anyway)
For true bargains and larger purchases, you might need to travel from the Boardwalk. A drive out of town will find the big liquor stores, where you can buy the top quality wine and more exclusive liquors.
Again, if you are going to head out of town, then Egg Harbor Township might well be your best bet. You will find plenty of liquor stores in Egg Harbor, including Decatur Wine, Bill Martins Liquor Store, Home Liquors, Bootleg Liquors and North field Liquors as well as Joe Canals Discount Liquor store, to name but a few of them.
Pacific Avenue has quite a few liquor stores - this is the road that run parallel with the Boardwalk, just behind the casinos.
It is perfectly safe to stroll down Pacific Avenue, to these liquor stores in the day, although some people prefer not to go too far off the boardwalk and away from the safety of the casinos at night.
A block further down, on Atlantic Avenue there are even more stores selling liquor, although many visitors feel uncomfortable on this road (we found it to be just fine, but others may not feel the same way)
