Bally's is a huge name in casino gaming. Not only do they own some of the biggest casino properties in the US, they are also one of the biggest gaming machine manufacturers in the world. As you would expect, the Bally's casino in Atlantic City hold a very impressive position on the Boardwalk.
Over recent years, the casino appears to (how can we say this?) be in a state of transition, perhaps awaiting a long-overdue make-over
"I have to say, was surprised to find Bally's in Atlantic City looking so very tired. Especially when you consider how modern and vibrant some of their other casinos, elsewhere in the country are.
Perhaps they have been putting all their cash into their Vegas casinos, rather than their Atlantic City branches over the last few years?"
"The slots in Bally's were quite disappointing. As was the overall ambience in the place. The slots floor was full of old games, with tired, old carpeting and actually, when I was there, a very strange (and a little unpleasant) smell."
One good thing is that you can order a beer from your machine, although you don't get the same premium offerings as you would over at Harrah's. If you are looking for a premium bottle of beer in Bally's, this will generally cost a dollar or two on top of the tip, which although a long chalk from the free range of drinks you find in Vegas, is not bad value for money
